Roshan began his career in Sri Lanka’s tourism industry in 2018 as an SLTDA-authorised Chauffeur Guide, driven by a passion for sharing the beauty, culture, and warmth of his country. His journey has been marked by resilience — continuing to welcome guests through the challenges of the Easter Sunday bombings in 2019 and the COVID-19 pandemic — while always upholding the highest standards of service and care.
His dedication to guests is rooted in trust, safety, and personal attention, which has earned him a loyal following of returning visitors from around the world. In 2022, he founded Friendly Lanka Tours, offering tailor-made travel experiences designed to create lasting memories.
Recognising that exceptional hospitality extends beyond guiding, Roshan opened Kandy Garden Villa 1 in 2023 to give guests a true “home away from home” in Kandy. With comfortable, well-furnished rooms, modern amenities, attentive service, and an excellent price point, the villa quickly became a favourite – often fully booked thanks to its charm and value.
To meet growing demand, Roshan opened Kandy Garden Villa 2 in July 2025, delivering the same warmth, safety, and high standard of accommodation as the first villa. Both properties are designed for comfort and relaxation, offering guests luxury interiors, peaceful surroundings, and all the conveniences needed for a stress-free stay.
